Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment perform, ‘Agnes’
Date: July 1, 2018
1st July 2018, St Nicholas Church, North Walsham at 7.00pm
Reliving History is the first major concert in a three year-long festival of the Paston Papers. The festival is called Paston Footprints 600 to recognise the impact of this collection of letters begun 600 years ago by members of the influential Paston family from Norfolk.
The concert, performed by the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment with soprano Julia Doyle and choristers from St Nicholas, North Walsham, features a new commission by Sarah Rodgers. Agnes (a pocket oratorio) is a setting of extracts from letters written by Agnes Berry Paston and has been commissioned by the OAE with funding from Orchestras Live.
