Sarah’s BBC Proms commission for the BBC Concert Orchestra, Seascapes, was performed on October 4th 2024 as part of “Friday Night is Music Night” broadcast from Snape Maltings. The programme was repeated on Friday 16th May and is available on BBC Sounds for 30 days.
“Resound!”, for clarinet, string quartet and piano was commissioned by the Five Churches Festival and received its premiere performance on Sunday 14th July 2024 in Blakeney, Norfolk.
“Mountain Airs”, a suite for ‘cello and piano, composed for Catherine Wilmers will be recorded by Catherine and Jill Morton (piano) early in 2024.
The Cambridge Clarinet Choir have commissioned a new piece from Sarah in memory of one of their long-standing members. “A Little Dream of Iona” was performed in Cambridge on 14 October 2023, conducted by Andrew Webster.
Sarah is one of 15 composers to receive a commission in the 2023 Proms season.
