Event highlights during 2015
March 14th 2015 Conflict to Chorus – An Intermezzo for Peace is a re-membering of WW1. Guns are being converted into musical instruments for the orchestra. These will be in the shape of a damaged soldier and will be both an artwork and a sounding source. The concept of the piece is radical inclusivity. It will include the Southern Sinfonia, the Singing for Well-being choir (including people with diagnosed memory loss) as well as a special school, a school for pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, Hampshire school children, community choirs, and notated choral parts for Winchester University choirs and soloists.
