Including music that celebrates the life and times of King Alfred, this concert is dedicated to all our sleeping ancestors and will include music performed by FM ensembles including the King Alfred Singers, String Gems and The S.O.N.G. Sounds of New Gospel. Reflective in nature, the evening will include a visit to Hyde Abbey Gardens with unique performances around the site of the graves of King Alfred and his family. November 20th 2013 Space for Peace in the Hindu Temple, Southampton
in association with Southampton University and Southampton Solent University. Southampton faith and music groups from across the city gather to sing for peace. With groups spread around the temple, the audience will move among them. There will also be a candlelit procession followed by a longer vigil for peace, overnight. All welcome.
