The piece for solo harp, “Threaded Stars” was performed by Jacinta Dennett in Hong Kong on 10 July 2017. The concert was at Kowloon Union Church, Kowloon, Hong Kong.
“Plainsong for Strings” was selected for performance in Vienna in October. The call for scores came from BASCA (British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors) to be sent to ECSA (European Composer and Songwriter Alliance). The European committee then selected my piece for performance. The performance was given by ECCO – European Contemporary Composers Orchestra at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, on 12th October 2017.
“Hymn to Saint Brigid” (rev) was performed by the Astra Choir, conductor John McGaughey, at Good Shepherd Chapel, Abbotsford Convent, Abbotsford, Victoria, Australia on 8th March 2016 at 8 pm.
“Threaded Stars 2” for solo harp, was performed by Jacinta Dennett at Brighton Town Hall, Victoria, Australia on 17th July 2016 at 2.15 pm.
“Letter from Haworth”, a work for soprano, clarinet, cello and piano was performed at the Australian Festival of Chamber Music in Townsville, Australia on 4th August 2016. The performers were the soprano, Valda Wilson, and Ensemble Liason of Melbourne. “Letter from Haworth” is a dramatic setting of an anguished letter by Charlotte Bronte, and 2016 was the centenary of her birth.
The Trio “Line Spun with Stars” (rev) was performed by the Thalassa Ensemble in January 2016 at St Cuthbert’s Church, London NW2.
A new piece for three cellos, titled ‘Three Cellos’ was commissioned by the University of Western Australia, for their centenary celebrations in 2013. The piece was issued on CD and performed during 2013.
Another new piece, “Magnificat 3”, was premiered by Kaleidoscope Ensemble with Corrina Dolso (sop) in Ipswich, UK in October 2013.
During 2012, ‘Uncoiling’ for oboe and piano, a commission from the “Music in the Village” Festival of Walthamstow was premiered in London by Marios Agiros (ob) and Caroline Clemmow (pf). ‘Uncoiling’ was subsequently taken up and performed in London in September 2012 by Catherine Pluygers (ob) and Robert Coleridge (pf).
A commission from the Whitehall Orchestra, London for a Concerto for Alto Saxophone was premiered in London in March 2011 with Amy Dickson as soloist. The concerto was also taken up by the Ku-ring-gai Philharmonic in Sydney in May 2011.
