To the Dog Owners please remember to poop scoop and if your dogs are a bit lively please put them on a lead when others are about, as not everyone is confident around dogs.

Dear Members of the Parish of Great Cressingham,
It has come to the attention of the Parish Council that there have been several incidents on the Village Green recently, of dogs which are under supervision, and are being exercised legitimately, being attacked by other dogs which appear from the vicinity of the gardens bordering the Green. As we are sure you will agree, this is unreasonable. In the first instance, we would advise anyone on the Green who sees a dog not under supervision, to contact the Council Dog Warden (01362858500) who will record the incident, and will then make unannounced visits in order to take matters further. We would also ask that if anyone sees an unsupervised dog on the Green, to take a photograph and send it through to Hannah email@example.com, this way offenders can be easily identified, and owners can be reported.
A further problem, which is dog based on the Village Green, is the matter of dog mess. If you are supervising your dog… please make sure you pick it up and dispose of it in the bins provided. 99% of dog owners in the village already do this, so thank you.
The increasing number of unsupervised dog incidents has caused the Parish Council to now actively pursue the chain link fencing of parts of the Village Green boundary, as this is potentially a safety issue. This will be an expensive undertaking, but one which we are sure that all will support.
If you have any concerns, or wish for further clarification… or even, perhaps, that you have information/photographs, of the offending, unsupervised dogs referred to above, please contact Hannah on 07900265493 or 01760440439.
