This concert is part of the Surrey Hills International Music Festival. A true celebration of the piano with four of the world’s leading pianists performing together in a variety of spectacular works for two pianos. The programme will also include the winning entry in the 2024 Surrey Hills Young Composer Competition on the theme of ‘Celebration’ to commemorate the 15th anniversary season of the Surrey Hills International Music Festival.

Kleio Quartet

The Kleio Quartet is a current Hattori Foundation Senior Award Winner.

This performance forms part of the Hattori Foundation early evening concert series. This is a very friendly series, in true Salon-style, where guests are invited to enjoy a pre-concert drink included in the ticket price, a one-hour performance (without interval) and then meet the performers and Trustees in the Club’s bar after each recital for complimentary refreshments.

Opening the annual Summer Festival with a dramatic start, The Menuhin School Junior Orchestra will perform Haydn’s Fire Symphony followed by a performance of Chausson’s mighty Concerto for Violin, Piano and String Quartet, with one of our final year pupils and Director of Music Ashley Wass taking on the titular roles. Continuing the season’s theme of The Elements, the second half will comprise Max Richter’s Four Seasons Recomposed, showcasing four soloists and The Menuhin School Senior Orchestra in this extraordinarily moving homage to Vivaldi’s much-loved originals. Grounds open 4pm | Concert starts 5pm | Picnic interval 6pm | Concert, second half 7.15pm.
