Anna Maria Stanczyk is a pianist whose eloquence and striking individualism are clearly communicated through her music. She creates a powerful paradox in her style of playing, emphasising the delicate and subtle, while maintaining superb control and still demonstrating flamboyant qualities. Her outstanding talent and distinctive style of presentation has captured the hearts of audiences all over the world, often eliciting long standing ovations.

"Anna Maria Stanczyk proved to be a worthy successor of the best Chopin traditions. Her original interpretation of Chopin was, at the same time, supportive of the old masters (Paderewski, Malcuzynski, Czerny-Stefanska). Her rendition of the Polonaise in A flat major was a combination of majesty, dignity, serenity and inner strength. Equally the Ballade and Nocturne were performed dramatically and yet sensitively. Poetic and Nostalgic Waltzes, (the C sharp minor Waltz deserves special mention) were played with an admirable simplicity so rare in young pianists. The Scherzo was full of verve and drama."

CULTURE AND LIFE, KIEV

"Miss Stanczyk is a pianist with a genuine feel for the Romantic repertory. Her tone although heroic, is capable of a myriad shading subtleties, and she has the intelligence and sense of narrative structure that is crucial to any reading of this music."

NEW YORK TIMES

"Nothing could detract from the powerful eloquence of Miss Stanczyk's performance at the keyboard with an often electrifying command of the pause . . . Her rhythms were never cliched; her emotions never coy. Every movement of body and fingertips elicited a commensurate effective response from the instrument. Her ability to capture every nuance and her mastery of complex changing rhythms compelled the listener to enjoy musical statements with resulting freshness and increased awareness."
