Patricia Spero

Biographical Information
I am a classically trained harpist with a degree from Trinity College of Music, London, and post-graduate training with the Russian harpist Maria Korchinska. I have played with many orchestras, and now specialize in recital work and event entertaining.
I have more than twentyfive albums currently in production, ranging from classical to modern music, some of solo harp and some featuring other instruments, - flute, violin, cello and saxophone. I also write and record my own meditative harp music, which is sold under the New World Music label, and I often collaborate with other musicians for experimental and improvisational recordings and concerts.
I have been nominated as part of a list of artists for the title of 'Best Female Artist' at the Classical Brit Awards, the first time a harpist has ever been chosen, and I now have a track on the Classical Brit Awards CD.
My new album, PERU, has just been released on the New World label.  This has a South American feel and features a panpipe player from Cusco in Peru.  On the album, I play a Peruvian harp as well as  my concert harp, and the music blends classical and folk themes in a style which is both modern and relaxing.

Musical Tracks and Recordings
My newest CD, called FAIRY NIGHTS is on the New World Music label and has attracted very favourable reviews: "Patricia Spero's alluring compositions of harp, flute and cello entice the listener deep into this magical world of shadows and moonlight where your sylvan hosts await you in the Fairy Ring."
Pickwick ABM have released a CD called CELTIC HARP.  I also have a track of the theme from Titanic featured on a Decca World-wide release: UTOPIA CHILLED CLASSICS.
Recently I performed on a world music CD called SILK and BAMBOO.  Recorded on the New World Music Label, it features Tim Wheater on bamboo and wooden flutes while I play a Chinese harp called a CHENG.
My album, which is recorded on the Universal label, and called HARP MOODS, achieved an entry at number 10 in the classical charts.  Over 15,000 copies of this recording have been sold world-wide.  This double CD has over 2 and a half hours for peace, tranquility and serenity.  It includes Danny Boy, the theme from Titanic and 'Winter' from Vivaldi's Four Seasons.

I have an album called, 'Mother Love,' also available at the moment. It is a delightful mix of soothing harp melodies blended with the timeless ebb and flow of the sea, and it is designed to calm and relax anyone from the unborn baby to the mature adult.
The CD of Mother Love is £9.99 and the cassette is £5.99, both plus £1.00 postage and packing for the UK.
