Sarah's newest work, a setting of Matthew Arnold's poem Dover Beach, for Chorus (SSATB), String Quartet and Harp will receive its first performance at St Augustine's Highbury on Saturday March 15th 2008.

A cabaret song for soprano Alison Pearce, Sweet and Lonely Boys was premiered during the Stars in the North Festival in Grimsby in October 2007.

The song cycle for soprano, string quartet and piano, in your shadow, was premiered at the Stars in the North Festival in Grimsby in September 2006 by Alison Pearce with the Alberni String Quartet and pianist David Murray.

Moon Palace Song, written for Cantamus (Sainsbury's Choir of the Year) was performed at the Choral Olympics in China in 2006 where the choir took two gold medals and then on two further occasions during their subsequent tour, including at the Summer Place in Beijing.

In 2005, Sarah completed two commissions -   beat lines for clarinet, cello and piano, a commission for the Music Past and Present, London series which was performed in March 2005, and Four Songs of Wang Wei setting 6th century Chinese texts for Soprano, Alison Pearce with erhu and piano,  performed at St Paul's, Covent Garden in November. 

Incidents in the Life of Joseph Grimaldi, a new work for the ensemble, Sounds Positive  was performed at The Warehouse, London in May 2004.

Other new compositions in 2003 included Alpine Sinfonia for concert organ and  Time Pieces for clarinet choir. 

The Fire will Blaze Again for tenor and piano trio commissioned by Operest (Opera East London) received its premiere at St John's Smith Square, London on 28th November 2003.

The King of the Golden River, which was commissioned as part of the Ruskin 2000 celebrations and released on CD on the SOMM label in January 2001 received four performances by the Coull Quartet and Richard Edgar-Wilson, tenor.

A second new work for the year 2000 was commissioned by the North London Council of Churches. Windhover Te Deum  and received its first performance on April 9th 2000, performed by the North London Chorus and the Corinthian Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Alan Hazeldine with soloist, Sarah Leonard.

Other recent commissions by Sarah Rodgers have included Letter from China, three piano pieces for pianist, Linda Ang, and Mountain Airs, a suite for 'cello for Catherine Wilmers. Both pieces received their first performances in 1999.

Ramayana, which was featured in an spnm workshop and concert held by contemporary ensemble, Sounds Positive  received another performance by the same artists at a concert at The Warehouse in June, 2000 and more recently in the 5th London Festival of New Music for Wind and is now part of their regular repertoire.
