Alison Pearce has a distinguished international career as a soprano soloist in oratorio, opera and recital.  She appears with the world's leading conductors and orchestras at major venues and festivals as well as broadcasting for radio and television.

She is Professor in the Vocal Department of the Royal Academy of Music and Artistic Director of the European Summer School for Singers, Musica Viva.
Her major operatic prima donna roles include those in Tosca, Nabucco, I Lombardi, Fidelio, Ariadne auf Naxos, as well as Elsa in Lohengrin and Elizabeth in Tannhäuser.  She has worked for English National Opera and at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and, for the Dublin International City of Culture celebrations, she sang the title rôle in Puccini's Manon Lescaut which she repeated in Israel together with Amelia in Verdi's Un Ballo in Maschera.  Her career in Italy culminated in Rome in a revival of Monteverdi's opera Orfeo e Eurydice in which she sang Eurydice.
Alison's operatic work also features four recordings of leading rôles for the BBC in their 20th Century Britannia at the Opera series and she has commercial recordings with Hyperion, Helios, Meridian, Bescol, Legacy, Everest and Deste

Recent Recital and Oratorio engagements include performances with the world's leading orchestras, conductors and accompanists at major UK Festivals:  Cheltenham, Three Choirs, Llandaff, St David's, Swansea, Hexham Abbey and Brighton as well as in Flanders, France, Israel, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Norway, Poland and the Phillipines. Performances of Bach, Handel, Mozart, Mahler, Elgar, Richard Strauss, Poulenc, Debussy, Ravel, Britten, Matthias and Patterson.

World Premières have featured Alun Hoddinott's Sinfonia Fidei, Six Psalms by Dominic Muldowney, Music's Empire by John McCabe, Jil Bartley's Requiem, Hell's Angels by Paul Patterson and In Your Shadow, by Sarah Rodgers.

2003/2004 highlights include:  a series of recitals and master-classes in Hong-Kong, Poland, Norway, Italy and the Netherlands, Verdi Requiem at the Royal Albert Hall and in the Concertgebouw, many appearances throughout the UK including Hexham Abbey Festival and Swansea Festival as well as a last night of the Proms with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Mozart Requiem with the London Mozart Players, Opera Galas in Hong Kong and Belgium and Marguerite in Gounod's Faust.
Plus master-classes and lectures for Birkbeck College and the Royal Academy of Music in England as well as visiting other conservatoires around the world and presiding at an annual summer school in Tuscany.
She has been honoured by the Polish people for her performances of the work of Karol Szymanowski. She has also worked with Penderecki conducting the Philharmonia in his Te Deum and in Germany for a performance of his Seven Gates of Jerusalem.
2005/2006 highlights:
This season's engagements included many 20th century British works, notably Britten – War Requiem, Finzi – Dies Natalis and Vaughan-Williams – Five Tudor Portraits, as well as first performances of works written for Alison by Paul Patterson, Sarah Rodgers and Alex Manassen. She was also  invited to sit as one of the judges for the Vocal Category of the British Composer Awards in association with BBC Radio 3.
In 2007/8, Alison will be appearing as a guest artist with the Alberni String Quartet, singing the music of Chausson, Bach, Purcell, Sondheim and Weill; in Britten’s Les Illuminations with the Amadeus Orchestra, The Hogarth Society’s birthday celebration in Covent Garden and a Mozart Gala at the Opera House in Gent, Belgium.  In addition, she will be starring in Side-by-Side-by-Sondheim and 'Diva Cabaret' as well as giving celebrity recitals and master-classes in Greece, the Netherlands, Norway, Italy, Poland, London and the UK.  Her recording of French Songs by Chausson, Duparc, Satie and Messiaen, has recently been released on the Wichman label.
