"There is plenty to enjoy in Danielle Perrett's harp playing. It is vivacious, musically shaped, phrased and paced with obvious enjoyment and there is a very wide range of dynamic ... this recording has some charming music played with affection and enthusiasm. It is to be recommended for this as well as for the choice of some unknown repertoire."

The Firebird's Feather (Russian Romantic Harp Music) - Beartramka BTKA 0601

"[Ms. Perrett’s] extremely busy career teaching, composing and arranging for and, of course, performing on, her instrument... perhaps explains the depth of artistry, as well as superlative technique, in evidence here.  The tone and touch is continually varied, the colours suited to the often-dark undertones of the music.  The sweeping scales and arpeggios, so idiomatic to the harp, provide elegant under-pinnings to the often-pronounced and generously-phrased melodic material, while a very wide dynamic continuum is always deployed with great taste and discretion... For many, this attractive release will provide an ideal introduction to the world of Russian Romantic music for solo harp, especially given the quality of harpist Danielle Perrett's playing."

Sing Reign of Fair Maid - Ely Cathedral Girls' Choir with Danielle featuring Britten's A Ceremony of Carols and much other beautiful choral music to honour the Virgin
Regent Records REGCD284
 www.regentrecords.com

This was featured on Classic Fm before Xmas. We recorded it in the magical atmosphere and acoustic of Ely Cathedral. It was one of my life's most evocative settings for a performance under the Octagon there at night. This also features lovely harpist Cecily Beer's beautifully expressive singing as one of the soloists. Sarah Macdonald the conductor has done great things with this fine choir in her brief year with them.

The other Christmas music CD, hot on the heels is with the exemplary Oxford Girls' Choir and their wonderful conductor Richard Vendome. Again this features Britten's A Ceremony of Carols but with some other intriguing repertoire featuring the harp entitled:
A CEREMONY OF CAROLS CDG1220 thegiftofmusic.com

We recorded this in more lovely church and chapel settings in Oxford.
There are some rarely heard works by Faure performed with harp, and some 19th century French music by Boely and arrangements by him of 16th century French carols by Denisot plus the premiere of Danielle's own On Christmas Night for harp solo. This is a fantasia on 13 Carols which Danielle composed just after last Christmas. It is also published in sheet music format by Beartramka www.beartramka.com
