Betty Roe's versatility has enabled her to build a successful career as a musician in many spheres, with extensive experience as pianist, singer, composer, conductor, teacher, examiner and adjudicator.  She studied at the Royal Academy of Music, gained LRAM, ARCM and FTCL diplomas and was elected an Associate of the RAM in 1991.  She became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in 1993.

COMPOSER

As a composer her work embraces many fields:  solo songs, choral music, church music, revue songs, musicals, operas, instrumental pieces and music for schools.  There is a constant flow of commissions from choirs, schools and children's groups, solo singers and instrumental groups.  Her collaboration with librettist Marian Lines has been particularly fruitful and they have written many works for special groups and needs.  A list of her compositions published by Thames is available from MUSIC SALES LTD www.musicsales.com and www.tutti.co.uk  Some new publications are available from Robish Music - see www.bettyroe.com

Betty Roe has had extensive experience as an examiner and festival adjudicator in all categories, also as a tutor at music weekends and summer schools.
